Stefan Kirmaier (28 July 1889-22 November 1916) was an Imperial German Air Service oberleutnant during World War I. He commanded Jagdstaffel 2 before being shot down over Les Boeufs, France in 1916.

Stefan Kirmaier was born in Lachen, Bavaria, German Empire in 1889, and he began World War I as an infantryman in the Imperial German Army. In 1915, he transferred into the Imperial German Air Service, and he scored his first three victories in July 1916. On 28 October 1916, after Jagdstaffel 2 commander Oswald Boelcke was killed in action, Kirmaier took over his command, but, on 22 November, he was killed by a bullet to the head fired by English flying ace John Oliver Andrews over Les Boeufs.
