St. Thomas' Hospital is a large NHS teaching hospital located on the Westminster Bridge Road in Lambeth, London, England. It was founded in Southwark in 1106 as a free infirmary and was renamed in honor of St. Thomas Becket in 1173; it was ultimately moved to Lambeth in 1871. It became a major landmark due to its location across the River Thames from the Palace of Westminster.
