Spencer Dutton (1889-1969) was an American rancher, big game hunter, World War I veteran, and Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, who was active un the Roaring Twenties and the end of the Wild West era. He is the youngest son of James Dutton, the nephew of Jacob Dutton, brother of John Dutton Sr., father of John Dutton II, and grandfather of John Dutton III. On March 24, 1924, he killed corrupt business tycoon Donald Whitfield, saving his family, and avenging his wife Alexandra Dutton.
