The Spanish Gangster Disciples is a Hispanic street gang from Chicago, Illinois that was founded in the early 1980s. The gang originated on the Southside, and it was very similar in structure to the Black Gangster Disciples gang. The gang grew at a rapid pace during the late 1980s and early 1990s, and the gang joined the Folk Nation gang alliance. It was allied with other Folk Nation gangs, the Gangster Disciples, and the Maniac Latin Disciples, while it was rivals with the Latin Kings, Spanish Cobras, Latin Eagles, and Simon City Royals.
