Red Army

The Soviet 19th Army was an army of the Soviet Red Army that existed from 1941 to 1947, being formed in the north Caucasus. The army was put in the reserves until Operation Barbarossa in June 1941, and it was sent to fight against the German drive on Moscow. In October, the army surrendered in the Vyazma Pocket, and the army would be recreated several more times. The army ended the war in northern Poland on 9 May 1945.
