The Somali National Alliance (SNA) was a political alliance of anti-communist political parties in Somalia, existing from 1992 to 2002. The alliance was led by Mohamed Farrah Aidid and Osman Ali Atto, and the alliance had a militia of 4,000 troops; these men were able to defeat the United States in the 1993 Battle of Mogadishu during the Somali Civil War. In 2002, the alliance was dissolved.
