The Social Christian Party (PSC) is a conservative Christian democratic political party in Ecuador that was founded in 1951 by Camilo Ponce Enriquez. The party's original base was in Quito, but, since the 1980s, the party's base of support shifted to the coastal areas of the country, particularly around Guayaquil. In 1979, the party's centrist and leftist wing split off to form the Christian Democratic Union, and the party continued to be an important center-right party in the country.
