
Slavica Dukic Dejanovic (4 July 1951-) was President of Serbia from 5 April to 31 May 2012, succeeding Boris Tadic and preceding Tomislav Nikolic.
Biography[]
Slavica Dukic Dejanovic was born in Raca, SR Serbia, Yugoslavia in 1951, and she worked as a professor at the University of Kragujevac Medical School. As a youth, she was a member of the League of Communists of Yugoslavia, and she joined the Socialist Party of Serbia in 1990. She served as Minister of Family Care from 2000 to 2001, President of the National Assembly from 2008 to 2012, acting President in 2012, Minister of Health from 2012 to 2014, and Minister without Portfolio from 2016.
