Skopas (472-429 BC) was Basileus of the Thessalian League from 430 to 429 BC, succeeding Kleophon and preceding Margos. During the Peloponnesian War, he took command of the Thessalian "The Gigantes" army and captured Dodona from Epirus and Ambracia from Corinth by 430 BC. That same year, he became the new ruler of the league on Kleophon's death. In 429 BC, he was slain in battle with the Spartan king Archidamus II at the Battle of Kompoti.
