Sir Robert, Duke of Brittany (1066 - 11??) was a Norman noble and knight who served in the First Crusade with his two other brothers Richard and Arthur.
Biography[]
He was born in 1066 in Normandy. In Pope Urban II declared war on muslims and started the First Crusade. Richard and his elder brothers fought against the muslims in the city of Alexandretta (now Iskenderun).
During their journeys in the Holy Land, they supposedly discovered the Holy Grail and protected it at the Temple of the Sun in the Canyon of the Crescent Moon for 150 years according to legend.
Chosen to remain as the Grail's sole guardian because he was the bravest and most worthy, Sir Robert was never seen again and it is believe he died there of old age.
In 1938, Dr. Henry Jones Jr. in his search for the Holy Grail afirmed to have met a 900 hundred year old Sir Robert still alive guarding the Grail. The Temple was destroyed by unknown causes, some believe it was Elsa Schneider's fault. Professor Henry Jones Sr. and Marcus Brody afirmed too to have seen Sir Robert alive in 1938 before the Temple collapsed. This theories were taken only as rumours by the historians at that time afirming that Jones really found his remains.
