Sindh is a region of southern Pakistan located on the coastline of the Indian subcontinent. Its cities include Hyderabad and Neroon Kot.

Sindh is a desert region on the coastline of the Indian subcontinent, located in present-day Pakistan. Its cities include Hyderabad, the capital city of Neroon Kot, the very poor town of Larkana, and the port city of Kolachi (Karachi). Sindh had a population of 2,805,877 people in in the winter of 1746, with the majority of the population adhering to Islam under the Mughal Empire. In 1750, the population grew to 3,158,091 people, with a religious dispersion of 59.3% Hindus and 40.7% Hindus. From 1783 to 1843, the Talpur dynasty ruled Sindh, only to be conquered by the British general Charles James Napier in 1843. In 1947 it chose to join Pakistan long after the fall of the Maratha Confederacy and shortly after the new British rulers were forced out.
