Simone Gold

Simone Gold (1965-) was an American doctor, far-right conspiracy theorist, and insurrectionist from Beverly Hills, California who participated in the 2021 United States coup d'etat attempt in Washington DC on 6 January 2021. She wrote a book criticizing "medical cancel culture" and promoted hydroxychloroquine as a COVID-19 treatment, and she was arrested on 19 January for her involvement in the storming of the Capitol (during which she delivered a speech to her fellow insurrectionists). On 16 June 2022, she was sentenced to 60 days in prison for illegally entering and remaining in the US Capitol, and was ordered to pay a $9,500 fine.
