
Simon van Assendelft () was a general of the Netherlands.
Biography[]
Simon van Assendelft was a commander of the Netherlands who was stationed in the Dutch East Indies with the 42,000-strong Dutch 4th Army on Probolinggo in Java (part of present-day Indonesia). Van Assendelft was sent to subdue the Kingdom of Bali in 1858 during the Acquisition of Dutch Bali, during which his 4th Army put down the Army of the Sultan of Lombok in the Battle of Bali on 13 June 1858.
