Simeon Weisz

Simeon Weisz (died 2001) was an Israeli arms dealer.

Biography[]

Simeon Weisz was a famous arms dealer who was known for taking part in many armed conflicts with his weapons. But unlike many of his contemporaries, he was a man of morals, choosing sides rather than selling guns to sinister regimes. He sold weapons in Angola and Mozambique, and he was one of the sellers of Exocet missiles in the 1982 Falklands War. One famous action on his morals was the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s, where he armed both sides because he wanted both Ba'athist Iraq and Iran to lose. Weisz came into conflict with gun runner Yuri Orlov after he refused to do business with Yuri, and as Yuri grew more powerful, Weisz lost his opportunity to deal with his uncle, General Dmitri Orlov. Weisz arranged for him to be killed in a car bombing in Odessa in 1992, and Weisz was later captured by President Andre Bishop, Sr. while he was in Liberia during the Liberian Civil War to arm his enemies. Bishop gave Orlov the opportunity to get revenge, but when Orlov himself could not pull the trigger, Bishop also put his arm and finger on the gun, and he pulled the trigger for Orlov, shooting Weisz through the forehead while he was tied to a chair. Weisz would haunt Orlov, who was constantly reminded of his immorality.
