Simeon K. Wolfe

Simeon Kalfius Wolfe (14 February 1824-18 November 1888) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-IN 2) from 4 March 1873 to 3 March 1875, succeeding Michael C. Kerr and preceding James D. Williams.

Biography[]

Simeon Kalfius Wolfe was born in Georgetown, Indiana on 14 February 1824, and he became a lawyer in Corydon in 1851. He edited and published the Corydon Democrat from 1857 to 1865, in the State Senate from 1860 to 1864, as a lawyer in New Albany after 1870, in the US House of Representatives from 1873 to 1875, and as a circuit court judge from 1880 to 1884. He died in New Albany in 1888.
