Simeon Baldwin (14 December 1761 – 26 May 1851) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-CN) from 4 March 1803 to 3 March 1805, succeeding Elias Perkins and preceding Jonathan O. Moseley.
Biography[]
Simeon Baldwin was born in Norwich, Connecticut in 1761, and he became a lawyer in New Haven and went on to marry two of Roger Sherman's daughters; he was the father of Roger Sherman Baldwin. He became New Haven city clerk in 1790 and went on to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1803 to 1805, as a Superior Court judge from 1806 to 1808, and as a Supreme Court of Errors judge from 1808 to 1818. He died in 1851.
