Sim Byung-Hoon (1964-21 December 2006) was a Korean assassin who was affiliated with the Jingweon Mafia. In December 2006, he was sent to Japan from South Korea to hunt down the "traitor" Park Hoejong, who was living in Osaka under an assumed name. On 21 December, he and his hit squad located Park at the Keima shogi parlor in Dotonbori, but they were defeated by Kazuma Kiryu and Kaoru Sayama; however, one of the Jingweon assassins was able to mortally wound Park with a thrown knife before the assassins committed suicide by poisoning to prevent themselves from being interrogated by Kiryu.
