The Signals Intelligence Response Service (SIRS) was formed to consolidate the United Kingdom's domestic intelligence apparatus, disrupt organized crime, and prevent large-scale terrorist attacks. After the TOAN bombings in 2020, SIRS no longer protected people and instead began to control them in the form of a surveillance-heavy police state. SIRS consolidated all of Britain's intelligence services into one unit, and it inhereted most of the GCHQ's functions.
