Sighvat Edgarsson (834-February 868) was a Norwegian bandit who, in 868, took part in an attack on the village of Skiringssalr By. He was killed when the peasants - who had recently been drilled as a militia - fought back and killed 10 of the 28 attacking footpads and wounded the 18 others.
