Sigeric (385-8 September 415) was King of the Visigoths from 22 August to 8 September 415, succeeding Athaulf and preceding Wallia.
Biography[]
Sigeric was born in 385, the brother of Sarus. In 412, his brother was defeated and killed by the rival Visigothic leader Athaulf, who was, in turn, murdered by Sarus' followers in August 415. Sarus' followers then proclaimed Sigeric as King, but Athaulf's widow Galla Placidia had Sigeric murdered in September.
