The Siege of Wehat Resyt occurred in 1195 BC when Prince Ramesses' general Paseny captured the fortified oasis town of Wehat Resyt from forces loyal to Tausret.
Even as the main theatre of war shifted towards the right bank of the Nile as the Siege of Khent-Min raged, Ramesses dispatched his general Paseny to march through the lands of Zawty and Abdju to continue pressing on the left bank of the Nile to reduce Tausret's realm. After months of marching, his army besieged Wehat Resyt, where they spent the next few months encamped in a state of siege. After sufficiently weakening the garrison through starvation, Paseny took the city by storm.
