The Siege of Mansoura (early September 1798) was a battle of the French Revolutionary Wars that occurred when the 1,260-strong French army of General Napoleon Bonaparte secured the peaceful surrender of the city of Mansoura. The 600 Mamelukes under Moinuddin al-Dosari decided to give up rather than waste lives, and the French were able to occupy the Dakhalia region without bloodshed.
