The Siege of Brescia (early January 1797) was a siege of the French Revolutionary Wars that occurred when the 1,518-strong French army of Barthelemy Catherine Joubert stormed the Venetian city of Brescia, defended by 1,344 troops under Taddeo Scopoli, Callisto Tucci, and Filippo Carducci. The French, using their superior numbers, assaulted the garrison at Brescia and conquered the city with 353 losses.
