The Siege of Amber occurred in 1527 when the Mughal general Khusrau of Tus conquered the city of Amber from the Mewari Rajputs.

In 1526, the Mughal emperor Babur declared war on Mewar, whose fearsome Rajputs had expanded their kingdom northwards as the Delhi Sultanate collapsed. Babur's general Khusrau of Tus was sent against the Rajput stronghold of Amber, which he besieged at he head of a mercenary army of Afghans, Central Asians, and Indians. The Mughals took Amber by storm with 258 losses, and Khusrau had 7,907 male citizens put to the sword, while looting 32,447 tankas from the prosperous city.
