Biography[]

Sindey Pen was born in Harlem, New York City in 1898 to a family of English descent, Sidney Pen became a wealthy and notorious businessman and entrepreneur, owning a considerable share of a large number of companies. He was a family man with a wife and one child. During the late 1920s, he began to partner up with various New York City mafiosi, including Clemente crime family Don Alberto Clemente, who bought a stake of Pen's cab company which he used to launder his illegal money. Their relationship lasted onto 1939, when Pen opened up a distillery business in Harlem and refused to give Clemente a cut, assuming the evidence he collected of Clemente's activities over the years would keep him safe. Clemente then sent two hitmen to murder Pen, but they were caught and killed by his security detail. As Pen continued avoiding assassination attempts, he stepped up his personal security in order to guarantee his safety, but Clemente hoped to get rid of him once and for all in 1945 after enlisting the help of his soldato Henry Tomasino and new recruits Vito Scaletta and Joe Barbaro, who were sent to his distillery to kill him.
