Sibrand von Kraus (29 October 1157 - 18 August 1191) was the Grand Master of the Teutonic Order from 1190 to 1191.
Biography[]
Sibrand von Kraus was born in the Holy Roman Empire and became a high-ranking member of the Teutonic Order, rising to the rank of Grand Master in 1190. He was a paranoid man who would double patrols and pull knights from battle to protect him from anybody who should threaten him. During the Third Crusade, he took over the dockyard of Acre, which would serve as a barrier against the European kings when the Knights Templar would take over power in the Holy Land. He resided in the Venetian Quarter.
Death[]
Sibrand, fearing assassination, sent word out that he was retreating to his private vessel at the docks. He was arguing with a priest, surrounded by a crowd of people. He pushed him to the ground, crazily yelling at him, believing that he wanted to turn his knights against him and saying that he was an Assassin because he wore the same robes. He killed the priest after demanding he tell "the truth". He left with his guards to his ships, still paranoid.

Sibrand's death
Altair walked down the pier, and was spotted by guards. He jumped across the boats and reached the ramparts of the dock fort, where Sibrand was waiting. As Sibrand fled from his ship over the ramparts, Altair came up behind him and stabbed him in the neck. He revealed that he did not believe in God, given what he knew and what he saw.
