Shotaro Ogawa

Shotaro Ogawa (born 1924) was a homeless Japanese man who lived in Kabukicho, Tokyo during the 1980s. He was hired by Tachibana Real Estate to squat at the Hakua Building in order to force Ryushi Namase to sell his bar to Tetsu Tachibana, and, on 12 December 1988, Kazuma Kiryu approached Ogawa for information on Tachibana. Ogawa warned him that Tachibana was even more powerful than the yakuza, had eyes and ears on every corner, blackmailed the Jinsei-gumi into being on his leash, and controlled an army of homeless men who could force business owners to move out.
