Shinobu Arita (11 July 1912 – 14 May 1945) was a major of the Imperial Japanese Army.
Biography[]
Shinobu Arita was an officer of the Imperial Japanese Army from the island of Okinawa, and he was put in charge of Japanese troops on Wana Ridge during the 1945 Battle of Okinawa in World War II. Arita was killed in a banzai charge against US troops in a cave under a Japanese bunker.
