The Shibusawa-gumi was a subsidiary of the Dojima-gumi and Tojo-kai yakuza organizations of Japan. It was founded by Dojima lieutenant Keiji Shibusawa, and it was in charge of the Dojima-gumi's "paperwork" such as financial crime, investment scams, and insurance fraud. While the Shibusawa-gumi was largely focused on white-collar crimes, its members were also highly trained in combat and carried firearms and weapons while on the job. In 1988, it became the dominant family within the Dojima-gumi as the Taihei Association declined. Shibusawa later became the Dojima-gumi's captain, and he used his position to eliminate the Kazama-gumi and the Nikkyo Consortium. However, Shibusawa was later arrested, and his clan lost control of the land for the Kabukicho land revitalization project, causing the family to dissolve, and its members to be absorbed by the Kazama-gumi and main Dojima-gumi.
