Shibaura is a district of the Minato ward in Tokyo, Japan, located between the eastern side of the Yamanote Line train and Tokyo Bay. Shibaura was created in the 20th century by the excavation of industrial canals, and it evolved from a light industrial area into a nightlife hub during the Bubble era of the 1980s and into a high-rise residential district during the 2000s.
