Sheppard Crump
Sheppard Crump (24 May 1882 – 6 January 1960) was Adjutant-General of Virginia from 1955 to 1960. The General Sheppard Crump Memorial Park is named for him.

Biography

Sheppard Crump was born in Glen Allen, Henrico County, Virginia in 1882, and he came from a long line of local farmers. He served in World War I and became the first commander of the First Caucus of the American Legion, later going on to serve as Adjutant-General of Virginia from 1955 until his death in 1960. The General Sheppard Crump Memorial Park is named for him.
