Sheikh al-Obodi

Sheikh al-Obodi (died 2005) was an Iraqi sheikh from Ramadi.

Biography[]

Sheikh al-Obodi was a Sunni Muslim tribal sheikh from Ramadi, Iraq. During the Iraq War, he offered to help the United States in finding Abu Musab al-Zarqawi's right-hand man known as "The Butcher" in return for $100,000, as The Butcher had amputated his wife Fatima's left arm and was terrorizing the people of the city. The Americans tried to hunt him down, but his sniper Mustafa fired on them and pinned them down while The Butcher executed al-Obodi's young son with a drill before proceeding to riddle the Sheikh with AK-47 bullets as he tried to run to his son and attack The Butcher.
