
Sheikh Yazid of Tarsos (727-) was the Sheikh of Tarsos under the Addauid Emirate.
Biography[]
Yazid was born in 727 to the Subaids, and he became the sheikh of Tarsus in Asia Minor under the Addauid Emirate. Yazid went on the hajj in 786, and on 21 April 786 he led some other pilgrims in saving King Muhammad I of Berbera from bandits, and Yazid and Muhammad became friends. Muhammad decided to have his brother Chief Ibrahim of Gojjam marry Yazid's daughter Sadiya bint Yazid as a sign of goodwill between the two countries.
