Biography[]
Sheikh Obada ibn Alkada of Caceres was born in 834 to the Alkadids, a dynasty of Visigoths forced to convert to Islam by the Moors in the 8th century during the Islamic conquest of Spain. Obada ruled over the Sheikhdom of Caceres, located in western central Spain near Portugal. He was married to Shaykhah Yasmina of Caceres.
