Sharifuddin Hussain (died 1581) was the Mughal governor of Ajmer, Nagor, and Mewat during the reign of Emperor Akbar. He married Akbar's sister Bakshi Banu Begum in 1560 and was granted control over his three provinces as a wedding gift, but his ambition swelled, and, in 1562, he offered to help Rajkumar Sujamal of Amber with seizing his rightful throne from Raja Bharmal's heir Bhagwant Das in exchange for Sujamal helping Sharifuddin capture Delhi once he took his throne. Sharifuddin joined forces with Sujamal, Udai Singh II, and Rajkumar Ratan Singh in attempt to take Delhi by force, but Sujamal defected to the Mughals at the last minute, leading to Sharifuddin's men shooting Sujamal with arrows. Akbar proceeded to defeat Sharifuddin in hand-to-hand combat, but he spared his life for the sake of his half-sister, and he was stripped of his governorships and died in 1581.
