Seth Moulton

Seth Moulton (24 October 1978-) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-MA 6) from 3 January 2015, succeeding John F. Tierney.

Biography[]

Seth Moulton was born in Salem, Massachusetts in 1978, and he joined the US Marine Corps after graduating from Harvard University with a degree in physics. He served four tours in the Iraq War, leading one of the first platoons to enter Baghdad in 2003, fighting at Nasiriyah in 2003, and being awarded with the Bronze Star for bravery during the battle for Najaf in 2004. After the war, he worked as a managing director for Texas Central Railway, and he co-founded Eastern Healthcare Partners in 2011. In 2014, he was elected to the US House of Representatives as a member of the Democratic Party, and he was a member of the centrist New Democrats. On 22 April 2019, he announced that he would seek the Democratic nomination for President, but he failed to gain any traction and did not make any of the debates, leading to him withdrawing from the race on 23 August.
