Sergio Segio (24 November 1955-) was a leader of the far-left Prima Linea militant group during the "Years of Lead" in Italy.
Biography[]
Sergio Segio was born in Pula, SR Croatia, SFR Yugoslavia in 1955, and he grew up in Milan, Italy, where his family originated. He spread leaflets among Sesto San Giovanni workers and among visitors of Milan's squares as a member of Lotta Continua, and he later became one of the founders of the Prima Linea leftist group. In 1980, he murdered magistrate Guido Galli, and he helped many inmates escape from prison. He was arrested in 1983 and sentenced to life imprisonment, but he was released in 2004, becoming a writer.
