Sergei Larin (1973–25 September 2019) was a Russian artist and forger. He was assassinated by ICA agent 47 in the Palais de Walewska in Paris via poisoned wine.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Larin was an extremely talented artist and the trophy-husband of Simone Larin, the owner of the extravagant Palais de Walewska. Despite his strained relationship with his wife, Larin enjoyed presenting himself as "Baron Larin, owner of the Palais de Walewska", though he was far from it. He enjoyed golf, owned a private speedboat, and once purchased a model diorama of the Palais in Saint Petersburg.

Larin possessed an obsession to Napoleon Bonaparte, and has been linked to the well-known art broker Sir Howard Moxon, known for selling perfect art forgeries to the rich and powerful. The ICA, an international assassination agency, has suspected that Larin has been copying his wife's paintings and jewels for years, selling the originals and keeping the copies on the wall under Simone's nose.

Death[]

Discovering that her husband had swindled her out of millions of dollars, Simone contracted the ICA to assassinate Larin at Viktor Novikov's Sanguine event while she was in New York City. The ICA sent their best agent, 47, to eliminate Larin as a side objective while he went after Novikov and Margolis. He accomplished this by covertly destroying two cameras, distracting Larin and his guards with a coin, and poisoning the wine glass in his room.

A few minutes later, Larin took a sip and collapsed dead. 47 continued with his mission of assassinating several other targets before eventually vacating the premises. Larin's death was ruled a murder, though became a cold case as 47 was never implicated.
