Seonhee

Seonhee was a Korean-Japanese crime boss who led the Geomijul crime syndicate in Yokohama during the 2010s and 2020s.

Biography[]

Seonhee was born in Japan to a Korean family that was involved in the Jingweon Mafia. Her mother later took her to Yokohama to join the Geomijul, a syndicate composed of Korean mobsters who left the Jingweon after its demise in the mid-2000s. Seonhee became the leader of the Geomijul by the late 2010s, utilizing the gang's state-of-the-art surveillance system to keep the peace between the Seiryu-kai, the Yokohama Liumang, and the Koeran gang, together known as the "Ijin Three."

In 2019, she learned that Liumang strategist Akira Mabuchi was plotting to start a gang war between the Liumang and the Seiryu Clan to justify his takeover of the city, and she promptly sent her second-in-command Yeonsu Kim to free Ichiban Kasuga from Mabuchi's captivity. She later welcomed Kasuga and his friends to the Geomijul base in Koreatown, testing their resolve through a series of ambushes before ultimately revealing the Geomijul's extensive counterfeiting operation and surveillance system. Her initial good relations with Kasuga were ruined when she found Yu Nanba among his party, as Nanba's brother had been kidnapped by the gang a year earlier for investigating the counterfeiting syndicate that tied the Ijin Three to LDP party chairman Yutaka Ogikubo. She also demanded to know how Kasuga came to possess a counterfeit bill, but she slightly relaxed after he revealed that it had been placed in his pocket while he was unconscious. Seonhee shocked Nanba with a taser after he begged to know if his brother was still alive, and, while she ordered her men to take Nanba away, Kasuga and his friends beat down Han and the other Geomijul henchmen and allowed Nanba to escape.

Seonhee proceeded to convene a meeting with Seiryu Clan chairman Ryuhei Hoshino and Liumang leader Tianyou Zhao, presenting them with proof of Mabuchi's rebellion and warning them of Nanba's knowledge of the counterfeiting. The three bosses agreed that Nanba needed to be silenced, and Zhao sent Liumang assassins after him. By then, it was too late, as Nanba had already informed Bleach Japan and the Omi Alliance of the counterfeiting opreation, leading the Omi to besiege the Geomijul lair. Seonhee and Kim were forced to destroy their surveillance system and counterfeiting machines as Kasuga fought off the Bleach Japan rioters. The Geomijul captured Bleach Japan director Hajime Ogasawara, who revealed Bleach Japan's partnership with the Omi before he was rescued by his Omi allies. Seonhee sent Kim to aid Kasuga as he suppressed Mabuchi's coup in the Liumang and forced the Omi to retreat, and, after Tianyou Zhao decided to step down as Liumang leader, Seonhee oversaw the merger of the Liumang and Geomijul under her leadership. The Ijin Three collaborated with Kasuga in challenging Tokyo governor, Bleach Japan founder, and Omi yakuza Ryo Aoki's growing influence, and Seonhee and the Geomijul discovered Jo Sawashiro's plot to assassiante Hoshino, only for Sawashiro to do so before Kasuga could stop him. They also spotted the assassin Mirror Face in Isezakicho, enabling Kasuga to prevent Mirror Face from killing Sawashiro.

In 2023, Seonhee and the Geomijul would provide shelter to the ailing ex-yakuza Kazuma Kiryu, and she ceded the leadership of the Geomijul to Yeonsu Kim not long after.
