
Selden Palmer Spencer (16 September 1862-16 May 1925) was a US Senator from Missouri (R) from 6 November 1918 to 16 May 1925, succeeding Xenophon P. Wilfley and preceding George Howard Williams.
Biography[]
Selden Palmer Spencer was born in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1862, and he worked as a lawyer before being elected to the State House of Representatives in 1895. From 1897 to 1903, he was a circuit court judge, and he returned to his law firm before serving in the US Senate from 1918 to 1925 as a Republican Party member. He died in office in 1925.
