
Selam Musai (1857-1920) was an Albanian general who was killed in action during the Vlora War of 1920.
Biography[]
Selam Musai was born in Salari, Albania, Ottoman Empire in 1857, and he came from a family of Albanian patriots. He fought against the Greek occupiers of Albania during the First Balkan War and was wounded in battle; in 1920, he became a member of the National Defense Committee. At the age of 63, he fought against the Italian occupiers of Vlora, and he was killed by an Italian artillery piece while urging his younger comrades to advance and attack.
