Scotland Yard in 1893
Scotland Yard was the headquarters to the Metropolitan Police Service which is the territorial police force who police the 32 boroughs of London. In 1890 the force moved from Great Scotland Yard to Victoria Embankment, and they renamed there establishment to New Scotland Yard. The two best known detective agents from the original Scotland Yard are Sherlock Holmes and John H. Watson who's careers their lasted from 1893 - 1895.
