The Scordisci were a Celtic tribe which inhabited Serbia from 278 BC to 15 BC. They lived at the confluence of the Sava, Drava, and Danube Rivers, and they consolidated into a tribal state, with their lands coming to include parts of present-day Serbia, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Romania, and their influence spreading even further. In 15 BC, the Scordisci were conquered by the Roman Empire, and the Romans divided their homeland into Pannonia, Moesia, and Dacia.
