
Sayed Jafar Naderi (1965-) was an Afghan warlord during the 1990s and the son of Vice President Sayed Mansoor Naderi.
Biography[]
Sayed Jafar Naderi was born in Kayan, Baghlan Province, Afghanistan in 1965, and he went to school in England at age 10 after his father was made a political prisoner. At age 13, he was sent to live in Allentown, Pennsylvania in the United States, and he became known as "Jeff"; he played drums in a heavy metal band and was an athlete. He was rich when he returned to Afghanistan, and he became Baghlan's MP during the Soviet-Afghan War. Naderi sought to help protect the Afghan people, and he led an army which fought against the Soviets. He also came to lead the Isma'ili community in his country, and he, Ahmad Shah Massoud, and Abdul Rashid Dostum took the capital of Kabul from the communist regime in 1992. In 2014, he became Security Advisor to the First Vice President Abdul Rashid Dostum.
