Sarah Good (21 July 1653 – 29 July 1692) was among the first three accused witches during the Salem Witch Trials.
Biography[]
Sarah Good was born on 21 July 1653 in Wenham, Massachusetts Bay Colony to John and Elizabeth Solart. Her and her sisters never received her father's inheritance when he died in 1672, and she was reduced to begging, food, work, and shelter from her neighbors along with her sisters. On 6 March 1692, she was arrested after she was accused of being a witch during the Salem Witch Trials along with fellow beggar Sarah Osborne. Good denied being a witch, leading to her being hanged with three other women on 29 July.
