Sarah (died 1557) was a French courtier and heretic during the 16th century. In 1557, she secretly placed a heretic necklace on the bed of Mary, Queen of Scots to warn her that the cult had selected her as her next target. Mary later discovered her involvement in the heretic scheme when she noticed a ram's-head-shaped scar on her hand, caused by the poisonous oil from the necklace, and she called in the guards before Sarah could stab her dead in her bedchamber. Sarah and the guard captain Robert were then sentenced to burn at the stake for heresy, and Mary arranged for Sarah to be killed by an arrow before she could burn to death, sparing her a cruel demise.
