
Sanada Tadato (1833-July 1867) was a Japanese samurai and general who served as Comptroller of the Nagaoka Domain during the Boshin War. By the late summer of 1867, he served as second-in-command of daimyo Ikeda Nagateru's massive army in Omi Province. In July 1867, he was assassinated by the Choshu Domain's shinobi Sukeomi.
