San Salvador warehouse raid

The San Salvador warehouse raid occurred in 1993 when the DEA raided a Sinaloa Cartel warehouse in San Salvador, El Salvador. The DEA agents had discovered the shipment from Mexican Army general Eugenio Blanco, and they were sent in to capture the five-ton cocaine shipment that Joaquin Guzman Loera was planning to move to Miami, Florida via Cuba. The DEA stormed the warehouse and gunned down those who attempted to resist arrest, and they arrested those who agreed to surrender. Not long after, Guzman was arrested in Guatemala and imprisoned at the Almoloya de Juarez maximum-security prison.
