
Samuel Tweedy (8 March 1776-1 July 1868) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-CN AL) from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835, succeeding Elisha Phelps and preceding Zalmon Wildman. Born in Nine Partners, New York, he moved to Danbury, Connecticut and serve in the state house in 1818, 1820, and 1824, in the state senate from 1826 to 1828, and in Congress.
