
Samuel Swan (1771-24 August 1844) was a member of the US House of Representatives (DR-NJ AL) from 4 March 1821 to 3 March 1831, succeeding John Linn and preceding Isaac Southard. Born in Scotch Plains, he worked as a physician in Bound Brook and Somerville before serving as Somerset County sheriff and clerk and in Congress. He later became a Whig.
